Paul Wright
…
Brief Biography:
Paul Wright has been working closely with parents of preschoolers for over 10 years as a teacher, head teacher and centre manager in early childhood education. He has worked extensively with children from infancy to school age across a range of early learning contexts, however he most enjoys helping parents navigate the toddler years. This passion matured through the completion of a Masters of Education in 2008, where he focused on pre-oral communication, and sleep training of toddlers, while working as a Senior Supervisor at SFU Children’s Centre.
Paul’s teaching experiences include group based daycare and education for infants, toddlers, preschool, as well as teaching in kindergarten. These experiences, combined with more than 7 years of post secondary education, including a Masters of Education, Graduate Diploma of Teaching and Learning in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Education have enabled Paul to observe and support many parents through a range of struggles with their toddlers during the preschool years.
Paul has settled in Squamish after living in Canada and New Zealand for the past 11 years since his first visit to Whistler in 1999/2000. During this time he has lived in Burnaby for three and a half years (commuting to Whistler each weekend for three winters) as well as amassing six seasons at Whistler Blackcomb in Ski School and daycare.
Paul now has Permanent Residency in Canada and holds the BC Early Childhood Educator, Infant and Toddler Educator and Special Needs Educator licenses to practice, as well as the BC College of Teachers – non expiring Professional Certification.
